Thumbnails.log

This file is created when the graphics are scanned and thumbnails get created. For each graphic in the data folder, it checks to see it has a copy cached in the project's THUMBNAIL folder. For each line, it lists the "Nice name", "DBDOC URL", "filename.tif" and then the status:

  • NEW - if this is the first time seeing this thumbnail in the project
  • OK - if this file is already in the cache and is unchanged
  • REGENERATED - if the file was already in the cache but changed in some way
  • SKIPPED - BuildPlus tries multiple times to generate the thumbnails. If for some reason it crashes during this, the next attempt will pick up where it left off. All the previous thumbnails that were successful will be marked as skipped.

The bottom of the log will show a summary of the whole process, including lines for:

  • The total number of thumbnails
  • The number of new thumbnails
  • The number of regenerated thumbnails
  • The number of thumbnails that stayed the same
  • The number of thumbnails that were deleted
  • The exit code (reports if something went wrong)
